It was truly wonderful to see so many members of our community gathered together for our 2024 International Women’s Day Luncheon, proudly supported by Sylvania BMW.
The theme of this year’s lunch was ‘Women’s Health through the Ages’, with a panel of three health experts delving into the journey of women’s health. We were honoured to be joined by Dr Sophie Reid, Dr Chris Seton and Belinda Kirkpatrick, who provided an informative and in-depth discussion about the many health issues affecting women. We thank Catherine Ajaka, Foundation Board Director and Chair Endowment Committee, for leading the panel.
All funds raised at this year’s IWD Luncheon greatly supported the St Catherine’s Foundation Indigenous Scholarship Fund. We are thrilled to announce that we raised over $35,000 to help educate young women from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities. These students will greatly enrich the cultural fabric of our school and change the futures of their communities. We are committed to raising funds to ensure the continued financial support of young Indigenous women well into the future.
This event would not have been possible without our incredible supporters. We thank each of them for their generous contributions to this event.
